Using Netscape Communicator

A. Check your mail settings.[Top]

It is essential that email settings are correct when sending mail.
To set the details for an email account follow the steps below.

1.  Select 'Edit', then 'Preferences' from the Netscape menu bar.

2.  Select 'Identity' From the Category pane on the left of the screen. Check that Your Name is spelled correctly and is displayed how you want to. Make sure your correct email address is entered. All other fields are optional.

3. Select 'Mail Servers' from the Category pane on the left of the screen. Check that the 'Outgoing mail (SMTP) server' is set to mail.webitdirect.com and that 'Use secure socket layer (SSL) or TLS for outgoing messages' is set to never.

4. Highlight the mail.webitdirect.com entry in the 'Incoming Mail Servers' pane then press 'Edit'. After the 'Mail Server Properties' window opens check the settings to make sure that 'Server Name' is set to mail.webitdirect.com, 'Server Type' is set to POP3 Server and User Name is set to your email address, substituting % for @
For example webmaster%webitdirect.com 

5. Click OK twice to save these settings.
